Hunters sees trainees as an investment for the future and we are committed to providing them with the highest quality of training.

We generally take one or two trainees a year and the training contract normally starts in the autumn.

Trainees are encouraged to take responsibility for matters from an early stage, and to have regular contact with clients. Their work is carefully supervised, and an “open door” policy is encouraged throughout the office.

We are looking for applicants with a 2:1 degree in an academic subject.

Applications for training contracts commencing in Autumn 2021 have now closed.  Applications for training contracts commencing in Autumn 2022 should be made between 1 April 2021 and 30 June 2021.

Applications should be made by email sent to trainingcontracts@hunterslaw.com attaching curriculum vitae and covering letter addressed to the Training Principal.

“In my experience, those who have been responsible for my family, dating back well over 50 years, have all been immensely friendly and helpful, and that tradition has been carried on with the present-day partnership”

“A rare mix of toughness with the opposition and sensitivity to its own clients means that its clients are devoted to the team, and rightly so. The lawyers carry the heaviest cases with ease, and never lose sight of the human issues which underlie them”

The Legal 500 2021

“A forward-thinking firm producing consistently excellent work in the area of international safeguarding, justice and redress schemes, and consistently seeking to provide clients with the best advice built on technical excellence and an awareness of policy and its direction”
