We identify our clients’ needs and tailor our work to each set of circumstances, providing high quality, cost effective advice. We are a multi-disciplinary practice and work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive service across all of our practice areas.
Tax planning
A thorough tax review may be required as a result of a proposed disposal of a business interest, property or development land, or as part of a client’s general succession planning programme. Our advice may involve the consideration of capital gains tax reliefs, such as entrepreneur’s relief or rollover relief on the sale and replacement of business assets, or business and agricultural property relief from inheritance tax on the transfer of agricultural land.
It may be beneficial to transfer an asset to another family member, into trust or into a corporate structure before further steps are taken in relation to a disposal and therefore the sooner advice is sought the greater the potential tax advantage may be. Families and individuals often have cross border interests and we will liaise with professionals from our international network of law firms to ensure the client is presented with a strategic solution which incorporates advice from multi jurisdictions.
