Constitution and administration
It’s not all about working with teams and regulators like the Charity Commission and Privy Council to set up new charities – although we do plenty of that. We’re also there to advise established charities on governance (including trustees’ legal powers of investment and investment policy statements) and safeguarding.
That might include constitutional reviews, advising and preparing an application for a new scheme, preparing governance policies and handbooks, governance toolkits, modernising charity structures and operations, arranging mergers, overseeing joint ventures or incorporating a charity. When needed, we also set up new governing instruments, arrange audits and reviews, incorporate successor charities and obtain supplementary charters for those governed by the Royal Charter.
