Ian Layzell-Smith qualified with May, May & Merrimans in 1992 and was made a partner in 2001, before the firm joined forces with Hunters in 2015.

Ian specialises in commercial and agricultural property work primarily for landed estate clients. He has particular experience in dealing with the sale of land for development including the grant of development options and promotion agreements, and also in mines and minerals and the letting of land for renewable energy projects.
