Lydia Chapman joined Hunters in October 2023 as a Trainee Solicitor. She is currently working in our Business Services, Dispute Resolution and Charity teams.
Prior to joining Hunters, Lydia worked as a Caseworker in the family department of a Tier 4 Legal 500 firm. She studied Anthropology and Data Statistics at the University of Exeter, before completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University and the accelerated LPC with Distinction at ULaw.
During her time at BPP, Lydia volunteered at the BPP Legal Advice Clinic and in their Streetlaw program – which focused on making the law accessible to different demographic groups. Within this, she ran virtual workshops in primary schools for young offenders, as well as internal information seminars about legal issues. She worked in the family and housing department at the BLAC, leading appointments with clients and writing letters of advice.
Lydia is a student member of Resolution and a Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England. She is passionate about giving back to the community and regularly volunteers as an English teacher at St Simon Zelotes Church.
Outside of work, Lydia loves to cook, surf and attend church. She sings in the music team and leads Sunday School twice a month.
