Two new partners join the Family Law team

We are pleased to announce that Hazel Wright and Graeme Fraser have joined the Family department at Hunters.

Hazel and Graeme were formerly partners of Cumberland Ellis which merged with Wedlake Bell last year.

Both will add significantly to the expertise and experience in the Hunters’ Family team, and bring the department’s complement to five partners, two associates, one assistant and a trainee.

Hazel Wright has been dealing with financial divorce cases in Central London for over 30 years, her clients being drawn from all the professions, finance, entrepreneurs and the military. As a result she is used to complex financial mechanisms of all types, as well as pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She has a particular interest in cases concerning children where these arise. Where a Court process is needed, she is an experienced and resolute litigator; however, she believes that clients are often best served by processes such as mediation, for which she is accredited by Resolution, or collaborative law in which she is a seasoned operator. She is a Trustee of the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships.

Graeme Fraser qualified in 1996 and has long experience in negotiating complex financial settlements. He is a trained collaborative lawyer. The law relating to Cohabitation is a particular speciality of his: he is a Resolution accredited specialist in the subject, on whose Cohabitation Committee he sits. He is the Consultant Editor for LexisNexis on the subject and is co-author of the Family Law section of their PSL on-line service. Graeme is well known among family lawyers for his commentary and publications in legal journals and the national press, for the training of other lawyers he undertakes for CLT and his regular presentations at Resolution National conference. He is the co-author of two Resolution publications: Cohabitation claims [2011] and A Modern Family[2012]
