Hunters’ family team celebrates pro-bono successes and expands commitment

Our family team has proudly joined forces with Charles Russell Speechley to volunteer at a pro-bono family legal clinic in Plymouth, a region often labelled a ‘legal black spot’ in the UK.

This collaborative effort underscores our dedication to addressing legal needs in underserved communities, ensuring that justice is accessible to everyone.

We are thrilled to announce that our commitment has been recognized at the 2023 LawWorks awards, where our pro-bono family legal clinic in Plymouth received a ‘highly commended’ award. This achievement not only reflects our team’s hard work but also emphasises the crucial role of pro-bono initiatives in bridging legal disparities across the country.

Taking our commitment to community service further, we have recently partnered with the Support through Court scheme, a vital initiative that assists litigants in person in navigating the complexities of the legal system. By providing crucial information and support, we empower individuals to represent themselves effectively in court, contributing to a more equitable legal landscape.

Recognising the transformative impact of pro-bono work, we have developed a pro-bono policy, solidifying our dedication to giving back to the community. As we eagerly anticipate the year ahead, we are committed to expanding our pro-bono efforts in 2024. We believe that pro-bono work not only addresses gaps in legal access but also reinforces the fundamental principle that justice should be accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status.

We are proud to be at the forefront of positive change, embodying the spirit of social responsibility within the legal profession.
