We are looking for a highly experienced Charities Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE, preferably with a commercial law background. You will be responsible for providing legal advice and solutions to charities, not-for-profits, and educational institutions on a range of matters, including:

  • Formation and incorporation of charities
  • Mergers, collaborations, and joint ventures
  • Advising senior management teams, boards of governors, and trustees
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements
  • Advising on data protection and wider charity law and education related matters

Job responsibilities

  • Provide timely, proactive, pragmatic, and high-quality legal advice and solutions to new and existing clients
  • Work proactively with the Head of Department to help deliver the strategy and improve processes and compliance across the Charities department
  • Develop your own specialist area of the charity/not-for-profit sector
  • Keep abreast of legal developments and share relevant insights within the Charities Department
  • Translate legislative and regulatory changes into practical business activities for the benefit of clients.
