Resolve at Hunters: One couple one lawyer

Resolve at Hunters provides an opportunity for separating couples to resolve matters arising from their separation amicably and with dignity, whilst benefitting from top-level legal advice given with the interests of the whole family in mind.

In Resolve, one lawyer advises you and your former partner together, helping you create your own solutions and retain a constructive post-separation relationship.

We understand that some separating couples worry that going to lawyers might raise tensions between them. By choosing to have one lawyer advising you both, you avoid that risk without sacrificing the benefits of high quality, tailored legal advice in helping you reach a fair agreement in which you can both have confidence.

Resolve is not suitable for everyone: there are many cases where a separating couple would be best served by each having their own lawyer, such as where there is a lack of trust, a serious power imbalance, domestic abuse, or an unwillingness to negotiate on one or both sides. Before embarking on the process, we will meet with each of you individually to ensure that you understand what Resolve involves, and to satisfy ourselves that it would be in both of your best interests for us to act for you jointly.
