Cecilie Mortensen joined Hunters in 2024 as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial department, following our merger with Peachey & Co LLP.

Cecilie advises on several aspects of commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate disputes. She also has experience assisting in equity and debt financing transactions, data protection, intellectual property and employment law.

Prior to joining Hunters, Cecilie worked at Peachey & Co from 2018. She qualified as a solicitor in 2022 and holds both a Bachelor and Master of Laws degree from Aalborg University. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP University.

Notable matters:

• Assisted in a €100m multi-jurisdiction part-19 derivative fraud claim – Durnont Enterprises Ltd v Fazita Investment Ltd [2023] EWHC 1294 (Ch).
• Assisted on opposition proceedings against trademark application for multi-national retail corporation.
• Assisted on £50m contract dispute.
