Arif Kamal joined Hunters in April 2018 as the Chief Finance and Operations Officer. He is responsible for the overall financial health of the business along with the strategic direction and continuing operational efficiencies across the firm. In 2024 he received the award Most Innovative Law Firm CFO 2024 at the C-Suite Awards.

Arif is an accomplished CFO and COO equipped with a distinguished track record of maximising shareholder value over 30 years. Arif was previously the CFO of Thomas Cooper LLP, (now part of Pennington Manches Cooper), a niche international law firm with offices in Singapore, Brazil, France, Spain Greece and UK specialising in marine shipping, trade and finance from January 2014 to April 2018. Prior to that Arif was the Group Finance Director of GL Hearn, a top 20 property consultancy now part of Capita.

Arif’s professional services industry experience also includes his role as Head of Finance with Wilson Mason, an architectural practice with operations in UK, Middle East and Eastern Europe. After qualifying he remained in public practice for nine years.

Arif gained his BA (Hons) in Economics and Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Royal Holloway College and Executive MBA from Cass 9 (now Bayes) Business School. Arif is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA).
