Rebecca Christie
Rebecca deals with all aspects of family law, including nuptial agreements, issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship, particularly financial issues, and matters relating to children.
She has written and commented for several publications, including The Times, The Observer and Spear’s on topics of national interest. Several of Rebecca’s articles reflect issues she has encountered through her work, such as emotional abuse with particular reference to gaslighting.
Rebecca works regularly with Hunters’ Property and Private Client teams, particularly on dynastic trust and agricultural matters. In November 2019, as a member of the Agricultural Law Association, Rebecca spoke at the Association’s Autumn Conference on ‘Divorce and Farming’, and has written several articles on the subject for The Law Society Gazette and Thomson Reuters.
Rebecca was named as the Gold winner of the ‘Rising Star’ award at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2020 and the Silver winner of ‘Family Lawyer of the Year – Associate’ at the Citywealth Future Leader Awards 2019. She is shortlisted for Family Young Lawyer of the Year at the Family Law Awards 2020.
Rebecca trained with Hunters, joining in September 2015 and qualifying into the Family department in 2017. In addition to family law, she is also a member of the Art and Cultural Property department and is a member of Art Resolve and Professional Advisers to the International Art Market (PAIAM).
