Hazel Wright


Hazel became a partner at Hunters in 2013. She was formerly head of the Family Law Department and of the Private Client Group at Cumberland Ellis LLP.

Her main work is in the financial consequences of relationship breakdown, often dealing with pension and trust issues. She has a particular interest in cases involving children. She deals with a considerable number of both prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as work for civil partners and unmarried couples.



She has substantial experience in advising separating and divorcing couples. Her clients come from the UK and many other jurisdictions, and include people in the legal, military, medical, accountancy and banking professions, entrepreneurs and new media providers. Hazel has an established and active practice as an accredited mediator, certified with the Family Mediation Council, and a qualified collaborative lawyer.

She is a member of Resolution, for whom she also works as a mentor of other family lawyers. She is a trustee of the Tavistock Relationships, the internationally renowned provider of highly specialised and affordable couple counselling and psychotherapy.
