After reading Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, Harriet read law (accelerated law degree) at the University of Edinburgh.   She trained at a medium-sized Legal 500 firm in Edinburgh and, following qualification in 2008, practised there as a private client lawyer until 2014 when she moved south.   Harriet is qualified as a solicitor both in Scotland and in England and Wales and joined Hunters as a Senior Associate in 2020.

Harriet is a private client lawyer with considerable experience in probate and estate administration work, both purely domestic estates as well as those where there are international considerations, and obtained the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ Advance Certificate in International Succession and Probate in 2014.   She also specialises in estate planning work, including the preparation of wills and lasting powers of attorney, and trusts.
