Hunters strengthens its family law team with a key new partner hire

We are delighted to announce that Amy Rowe, described by Legal 500 as “one of the standout children lawyers of her generation”, today joins the firm as Partner from Dawson Cornwell.
Consistently ranked in Band 1 by Chambers & Partners and as a Leading Individual by Legal 500, Amy has extensive experience in cross-border family work and is described as having “unparalleled expertise and experience in international children cases”. She is known for obtaining excellent results for her clients, with a proven ability to take on and win complex, novel cases including in the Supreme Court.
2024 has been an exciting year for Hunters’ family team, with Alex Brereton, a rising star in UHNW financial claims, having joined as a Partner from Mishcon de Reya, and Dr Maria Wright, a renowned expert in international children law, joining us following completion of her PhD. Amy’s arrival brings the team to eight Partners, strongly positioning the department to cement its standing as one of London’s leading family teams, equally strong in high net worth (HNW) finance work and complex children cases.
Amy’s expertise covers the full range of international family work including child abduction, international relocation, international enforcement, jurisdiction disputes, forced marriage and cross-border adoption. Amy is also an expert on surrogacy and fertility law and declarations of parentage. Amy has a strong private law domestic practice and is recognised by the directories for being impressively adept at handling child arrangements for high-profile individuals.
Amy is an active and influential member of the UK’s family law community, sitting on the International Academy of Family Lawyers European Young Lawyers Committee, the International Family Law Committee, the Family Procedure Rules Committee International Family Working Group, Resolution’s International Committee and chairing Resolution’s International Mediation Working Party. Amy is also the co-editor of the International Family Law Journal.
