A summary of the roundtable, originally posted in STEP Journal, can be found here.
Hunters was delighted to sponsor a roundtable discussion with STEP Journal entitled: From parent to advisor: legal handover at 18.
Caroline Foulger and Lara Barton, Partners in our Private Client team, joined the panel to discuss the challenges parents of vulnerable young adults face when their child turns 18, and how these can best be managed.
Lara Barton summarised by saying: “This discussion has highlighted the real need for greater awareness and understanding of the reality of what happens when someone with additional needs turns 18. And what can be done in advance to avoid the significant challenges and frustrations faced by so many parents in this position.”
