A night at the PAM Awards…

On Thursday 13 March, Matthew Yates, Lara Barton, Charlotte Simm, Caroline Foulger and I joined attendees from across the private wealth sector, donning their black tie, for the 27th Private Asset Management (‘PAM’) awards (oft referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the private asset management world).

Judges, comprised of the private sector’s top investment consultants, tax accountants, and private client lawyers, adjudicated on 10 categories, including investment performance, innovation and client service. This year, 20 firms were named as finalists.

The PAM awards are particularly unique in that neither sponsors nor judges are permitted to enter. Applicants are rigorously scrutinised, each completing a category-specific submission including an in-depth questionnaire featuring approximately 40 questions across several subject areas, encapsulating: group structure and personnel; investment management process; pooled funds/unlisted securities; regulation and investor protection and fees, charges and interest. As a result, the awards themselves are rightly coveted as an independent marker of market excellence.

Hunters was pleased to sponsor the 2025 award for Total Wealth Planning High Net Worth, for which Evelyn Partners, JM Finn and Waverton were shortlisted as finalists - with JM Finn taking the title.

A big thank you from the Hunters team to all who helped make it happen; it was a memorable evening for all, with no detail spared (the bread was PAM’ed and the champagne endless).

Huge congratulations must go to all of the finalists, who represent the very best of the private wealth sector.
