We are delighted to be a sponsor, for the second year running, of the Chalke Valley History Festival which takes place this year from 24th to 30th June.
The beautiful Wiltshire countryside will be hosting a week long celebration of history with lectures from the great and good in the history world, along with politicians, actors and journalists.
Hunters is pleased to be sponsoring Ian Hislop’s lecture on 29th June entitled “Stiff Upper Lip: An Emotional History of Britain”, a follow-up to his acclaimed BBC series.
In addition to the lectures, “encampments” are set up around the Festival devoted to particular periods in Britain’s history, from the Dark Ages to World War II. An Air Show is also scheduled to take place over the weekend of 29th to 30th June.
