Hunters’ success in Chambers and Partners UK 2022

We are delighted to announce that Hunters has once again given a strong performance in the 2022 edition of Chambers and Partners UK.

Two departments are highlighted: Family/Matrimonial (London) and Art and Cultural Property Law (UK-wide), with five practitioners being specifically recommended.

The Family/Matrimonial Department is highly regarded in Band 3, with the following three practitioners being strongly recommended: Henry Hood (Band 2), Jo Carr-West (Band 4) and Richard Kershaw (Band 4). A respondent notes the family team is “very client-focused and outcome-driven.”

Henry Hood receives plaudits for his experience handling a range of complex family law matters for high net worth individuals, including members of the aristocracy. He brings to bear additional commercial litigation expertise, as well as mediation experience: “He is very experienced and sensible. You know with him that you will be dealing with a thoroughly fair, decent and constructive opponent.”

Jo Carr-West has significant expertise in divorce proceedings and prenuptial agreements involving extensive assets. She also acts on Children Act matters, including international leave to remove cases. She demonstrates further skill in child arrangement disputes involving domestic violence allegations.

Richard Kershaw’s clients call upon him to provide guidance on high-value financial remedy proceedings and nuptial agreements. He often advises on high-value family disputes involving trusts, overseas asset and property issues: “He’s very good. He makes an impact when he’s involved in cases.”

The Art and Cultural Property Law Department is also well regarded in Band 2, with Gregor Kleinknecht (Band 2) being strongly recommended, with a source reporting that “He has excellent knowledge about the art market and the issues involved. He has deep industry expertise and is very professional and results-oriented. He is flexible to client needs.”

Paul Ridout’s expertise have been highlighted and he has been ranked in Band 4 for Charities:“He is the epitome of calm, cool and collected – he listens, understands and presents us with the options.” “He is an excellent lawyer who understands our needs and is very reliable.”
