On 7th November 2019, we were delighted to join Roseberys Fine Art Auctioneers & Valuers in presenting the second in our series of legal seminars for fine art auctioneers.
The topics for the afternoon included online auctions and consumer rights, a review of key legal and practical issues in relation to employees and self-employed consultants, an overview of the incoming EU Regulation on the import of cultural goods and proposed reforms to the UK’s export licensing system. We were also joined by Kim and Pauline McDonald of The Taxidermy Law Co. LLP to discuss the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna & Flora (CITES).
The seminar followed our highly successful inaugural seminar on 19th June 2019 and we were delighted to be joined by some familiar faces as well as welcoming new auctioneers and valuers to Hunters. The lively and engaging audience certainly kept us on our toes! We look forward to future seminars and exploring more topical legal and commercial issues for the trade.
