Paralegal/Legal Assistant - Commercial Property Team
As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant in our Commercial Property department, you will provide dedicated legal and administrative support, assisting with everything from drafting documents and managing deeds to liaising with clients and handling post-completion matters. This role is ideal for someone with a legal qualification and a keen interest in commercial property law, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will work closely with other members of the team and report to the Head of Department. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, confident, and able to manage a varied workload with professionalism and discretion.
Job responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with legal and administrative tasks
- Running straightforward matters from instruction to completion
- Drafting and negotiating legal documents
- Liaising with clients, agents, and solicitors
- Managing deeds and post-completion matters
- Opening files and assisting with AML/CDD processes
- Ordering searches and retrieving Land Registry documents
- Document management using our document management system and its sharing platform
- Preparing hard copy engrossments and sending correspondence
- Assisting with business development initiatives
- Any other ad hoc duties as required by the team
- Ensuring accurate e-filing and document formatting.
Skills and qualifications
- A law degree or other legal qualification
- Ideally recent experience as a Paralegal in commercial property law
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- IT proficiency.
