EDI Statement

Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion Logo
Hunters is a member of Onvero.

At Hunters, we are committed to fostering a workplace that is diverse, inclusive and fair, where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive. We believe that bringing together different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences strengthens our firm and enables us to better serve our clients.

We recognise that equality, diversity and inclusion is not a one-off project. It is an ongoing commitment that needs to be reflected in our day-to-day practice.

In 2026 we launched a five-year EDI strategy and action plan, developed with support from EDI consultants Onvero. Our over-arching strategic aims are:

  1. Foster an inclusive culture, embedding inclusion into all aspects of our work and enabling everyone to thrive and feel valued.
  2. Increase diversity by improving how we attract, develop and retain talent from a wide range of backgrounds.
  3. Enhance our understanding of our people by improving how we collect and use EDI data so that we can track our progress and respond to evolving needs.

Hunters EDI Committee

Implementation of this strategy is led by our EDI steering group which includes our EDI partner Clare Brennan, Pat Fernandes our HR Director and Anna Roiser, a Senior Knowledge Lawyer in our family team. Alongside this, a network of EDI Champions from across the firm help develop initiatives, run events and promote engagement at all levels.

We are committed to continuous learning and encouraging open dialogue. This includes firm-wide training on topics such as unconscious bias, and access to a dedicated EDI resource platform. We have an informal EDI library in our breakout area, and regularly highlight key topics through internal communications to encourage awareness and discussion. We conduct annual anonymised staff surveys to ensure our people have a voice and to support data-driven decision-making.

Each year, we explore a range of themes, often with the benefit of external speakers. In recent years this has included marking Black History Month, World Religion Day, Mental Health Awareness Month, Grief Awareness Month, Social Mobility Day, Pride, Holocaust Memorial Day, Neurodiversity Celebration Week, South Asian Heritage Month, Transgender Day of Visibility and World Menopause Day.

Looking to the future

We are committed to providing a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our policies reflect a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, bullying and harassment, and we are committed to being an inclusive and anti-racist organisation.
